October is breast cancer awareness month and seems like everyone is celebrating awareness. This month, the color pink is everywhere. Pink is even represented in the NFL and the reason is to fight breast cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, accounting for nearly 1 in 3 cancers diagnosed in US women, this excludes the cancers of the skin.
Support the cause by incorporating pink into your everyday lifestyle through your fashion choices!
The Blazer
The blazer has become a popular trend recently. You can dress it up or dress it down. Victoria’s Secret model, Miranda Kerr is seen here wearing a casual look with a pink blazer. Dressing blazers down with jeans is a quick way to look cute without putting in too much effort. Put on your favorite pair of jeans and a white tank top, simple enough right? Adding a pink blazer on top dresses up the outfit and creates a cute and comfortable outfit.
Fabulous Flats
Almost every lady has a pair of flats in their closet, so why not add a cute pair of pink Steve Madden flats to your collection? These comfy flats can be worn with a simple pair of jeans, a dress, or a mini skirt. No matter what outfit you choose, wearing a pair of flats is the comfortable alternative to looking cute without the stress on your feet from a pair of sky-high heels.
Nails with Attitude
Just because it is fall doesn’t mean you have to put your pink nail polish away. Painting your nails pink for breast cancer awareness month is a fun way to keep the support going for a few days. This Essie color “lovie dovie” is one of the many pink shades Essie makes. You can even add a design to one or all of your nails to kick up the fun. Getting your nails done is always great to relieve some of the stress from school and is a fun yet cost effective way to pamper yourself!
A Pink Button Up
Finally, a pink button up like this one from J.Crew can be worn for fall with a pair of jeans or black pants for work. This classic shirt should be in everyone’s closet because it can be worn for almost any occasion. Either dressed up or down, this button up is very comfortable and timeless.
Now that you are dressed for breast cancer awareness month, get out into your community and help raise money to find a cure for breast cancer.
