Wicked season has begun! The sound of college students singing “Defying Gravity” reverberates across campus. Sounds of weeping can also be heard from the Barrett students who woke up too late to purchase discounted tickets (me). For a lot of people, Wicked will be the first live musical they’ve ever seen. To help the students here at ASU, I’ve compiled a list of 6 ways to stay chic and stylish at Gammage.

1.Elegance is essential. If you don’t own vintage Chanel Haute Couture, no worries, a simple little black dress or a pressed white button down will suffice.

2. Theaters can get chilly. Remember to bring your Fendi fur coat for some extra warmth. If your dry cleaner is not open for the weekend, a cardigan is a great way to keep you nice and toasty.

3. Diamonds are your best friend. Don’t forget to accessorize. If your significant other forgets to go to Tiffany & Co. before the show, contemplate your relationship and accessorize with a pair of elegant yet simple earrings or a wrist watch.

4. Are you too lazy to do your hair? Throw on a jeweled turban for a Diana Vreeland-inspired look. If you chose to go sans turban, remember to keep your hair in place. You want to be able to show off your accessories.

5. If you don’t have custom made Christian Louboutins, it’s okay – neither do I. Comfortable but stylish shoes are a must. Pull out your Alexander McQueen Armadillo shoes if you want, but I suggest a pair of flats/oxfords, or pumps for extra height.

6. The best way to look and feel fabulous is by being yourself! You can follow my advice and look like a 1940’s socialite. Otherwise go as you see fit! As for me, I think I’ll wear my fur coat.
