Paris Fashion Week Day 1

The Chic Daily

On the third leg of its tour, the runway landed in Paris, marking the first day of Paris Fashion Week. Of the collections featured in Paris, those of Cédric Charlier, Anthony Vaccarello and Julien David introduced boyish looks that toyed with stern feminism and spunk.

Cédric Charlier included perfectly tailored pieces designed for the matrix-esque workingwoman. Sunglasses, leathers and trenches appeared in a combination of navy, taupe, black and white, making for a runway production both flirtatious and powerful.

Anthony Vaccarello

Anthony Vaccarello dabbled in sinister chic with an assembly of sleek cutout dresses and blouses worn by models with porcelain skin and smoky eyes. The line embodied harsh feminism, which made appearances with the harem pant, collared top and black leather gloves.

Julien David presented a quirky fall-winter collection complete with a gray wool skirt suit, plush snow boots and sporty sweatbands. The looks, which were inspired by the Yeti monster, mirrored an oxymoronic blend of creative trendiness and casual sass.
