Denim vests are taking the fashion scene by storm! It’s probably because of their versatility and I personally find them easy to throw on with almost anything. The denim vest gives any outfit an instantly chic update. Here are a few of my favorite ways to wear denim vests.

One of the easiest ways to incorporate a denim vest into your wardrobe is to pair it with a fun and colorful sundress. Both maxi and short dresses work splendidly for this look. The vest instantly updates your otherwise run-of-the-mill sundress and gives you a stylish new take on an old favorite dress.

Denim vests coupled with a bouncy mini skirt make for a fabulous look. Since these skirts have more volume, vests with a more structured fit work best for this look. Don’t be afraid to be bold and mix patterns! The denim’s neutral tone will help balance the pattern of the skirt’s design.

The classic black and white combo can be instantly upgraded by throwing on a mini denim vest. Black leggings or skinny jeans paired with a basic white tank top or t-shirt will bring you the edgy look you desire.

As I hope you all know by now, white jeans are not just for summer! Another great way to add a denim vest to your wardrobe is by pairing it with white jeans for an updated after Labor Day look. Try a colored t-shirt for those warmer days and add a long sleeve when it gets a little chillier.

If you’re feeling extra daring, try going for the denim on denim look. It works best if the wash of your vest differs from the wash of your jeans. This helps give a more balanced look and helps avoid a “matchy-matchy” feel. Try adding a standout top or some fun shoes to tie together the entire look.
