This spooky season may be different from the rest, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be just as fun! Keep reading to learn more about Fall and Halloween activities you can safely do with your boo or ghoulfriends.
Go To Pumpkin Nights
If you want to celebrate Halloween safely outside your home, then go to Pumpkin Nights at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. Now through the end of October, you and your significant other or family and friends can go to Pumpkin Nights. Nightly, you can explore Patches Pumpkin Farm, where you can treat yourself to homemade pie and hot cider or pick out a pumpkin.
At Jack-O-Lantern Lawn, you can make smores, go through a hay maze, and take a turn on festival rides. In addition, there are water lanterns, fireworks, and even a spookeasy.
Times:
Weekdays | 5-10 PM
Saturday & Sunday | 4-10 PM
Masks are required and everything is socially distanced. You can purchase your tickets here.
Explore a Pumpkin Patch
For Insta-worthy photos and pumpkins of all sizes, go to a pumpkin patch! Rated Arizona’s best pumpkin patch in the New York Times is Mother Nature’s Farm in Gilbert. For only $10 until the end of October, you can get a pumpkin, go on a hayride, feed animals, do a spider web crawl, and get lost in a maze.
While there is food available for purchase, you can also bring your own picnic lunch and relax at one of the many shaded picnic tables in the grassy fields or check out the farm boutique. Fortunately, there are 47 acres to socially distance.
Times:
Monday-Sunday | 9 AM – 9 PM

Paint or Carve Pumpkins
Pick out pumpkins with someone you love and either paint or carve them! This is a creative way to not only make unique decorations together but also a cheap and fun activity to do at home.
Scroll through Pinterest for spooky pumpkin carving and painting ideas and tutorials.
Bonus: when carving out your pumpkin, collect the pumpkin seeds, and roast them for a festive snack!
Have a Scary Movie Night
An easy way to celebrate Halloween is to have a scary movie night or even a horror movie marathon. Get your favorite people and candy together, make some popcorn, and you’re ready to go.
Make sure to use frightening movies as an excuse to snuggle up with your boo under a fluffy blanket.
Put up Halloween Decorations
To get into the Halloween spirit, put up Halloween decorations with your significant other, friends, and family. Whether this is inside or outside the house, it will surely get you into the spooky spirit and be a fun way to celebrate.
Try Drive-thru Dress-Up
If you simply can’t wait until Halloween to dress-up, then try Drive-thru Dress-Up! All you need is a wig and any other accessories of your choice. During any time in October, put on your wigs and other costumes/accessories and go to different drive-thrus to get food and see workers’ reactions to your attire.
This might just make your day and the worker’s day.
Couple Costumes
If you are planning to dress up this year, why not try a couple’s costume? Coordinating with your boo is fun and makes for cute memories and photos.
Don’t have a significant other? No worries! Sometimes group costumes with your friends are even better.
It seems like Euphoria and Among Us, group costumes will be popular this year, while Harry Potter costumes are also making a comeback.
Bake Cookies
Whether it’s the Pillsbury ready to bake pumpkin cookies or homemade treats, baking with anyone is always a good time. Holiday calories don’t count anyway, right?
Ultimately, Halloween may look different during a pandemic, but it doesn’t have to be forgotten. You can still celebrate this Fall safely with your boo’s and ghoulfriends while having fun.
