Cheers to 2024 | Where to Celebrate the New Year in Arizona

By Anna “Monty” Montoya-Gaxiola

It’s time to celebrate the New Year Arizona’s way.

As 2023 comes to an end, Arizona is offering many end-of-year events to have your 2024 start with a BANG.

Whether you're an Arizona native or a visitor for the holidays, these events are fit for everyone.

In the heart of the Valley, Arizona's biggest New Year party is back. Decadence is bringing on a multi-headliner show to Phoenix Raceway. The two-night event will star DJs like John Summit, Chris Lake and your 2024 countdown by SLANDER.

With only a few weeks until Arizona's favorite countdown spot, get your ticket; they are 80% sold out. Current packages include 2-day standard GA, GA+, VIP, and Platinum passes. For those looking to continue the celebration into 2024, the official Decandece afterparty is official with a DJ set by SLANDER. Tickets are now on sale for $50.

Smaller scale, but still festive, parties will be available all around town. Varying from themes, locations and prices, options include but are not limited to:

For those near Flagstaff, the Weatherford Hotel will host its twenty-third annual The Great Pinecone Crop. As the LED-lighted pinecone lowers, many gather around to countdown into the new year, leading to a grand fireworks display. Luckily for those staying in northern Arizona, Flagstaff has many other DJ and bar nights.

The McMillan will have a free entry on New Year's night with DJ and producer Bear Cole. This is a 21+ event and will run from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Downtown Flagstaff.

Regardless of how you celebrate, we hope you all have a fun and safe weekend. Looking for a dependable ride? The Valley Metro offers free transportation to all Valley Metro riders from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. across all transit.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
