Strolling through the Downtown ASU campus, one can’t help but take note of the unique and diverse scene. Whether it’s the sleepy-eyed night owls trudging into class, or the smartly-dressed students prepped for their big presentation, a whole spectrum of different people mulling about the campus exists.
This month, I got the privilege to take a closer look into the individual style of many of the young women whom I walk by every day. With an emphasis on make-up, these ladies opened up to talk a little bit about themselves and their passions. It is now my pleasure to share with you these amazing ladies and their fashionable makeup sense.

Q: What year are you?

A: Exercise and wellness
Q: How would you describe your usual makeup style?
A: I describe my makeup style as unique and bold.

Q:What year are you?
A:Freshman
Q: What is your major?
A: Journalism
Q: How would you describe your usual makeup style?
A: Umm that’s hard because it changes so frequently! I’m really into art and used to watch Michelle Phan YouTube videos like it was my job. I like being creative with it and changing up looks. I love that it can make you feel like a totally new person.
Q: What inspired this particular look?
A: I love embracing seasonal colors like burgundy and dark red and copper. That and Pinterest is always a go-to place if you’re looking for inspiration.
Q&A with Lauren Barnes
Q: What year are you?
A: Freshman
Q: What is your major?
A: Social Work
Q: How would you describe your usual makeup style?
A: I like to try different things! I really appreciate the more “odd” makeup looks, so I tend to wear crazy-color lipsticks or multicolored eyebrows. Playing around with it is really my goal. Makeup is a creative outlet for me.
Q: What inspired this particular look?
A: I really like the witchy vibe of this dress so I love pairing it with my grey lipstick!

Q: What year are you?
A: Junior
Q: What is your major?
A: Journalism
Q: How would you describe your usual makeup style?
A: Natural with a little bit of an edge. If I have bold eye makeup, I keep the lip neutral and vice versa for if I do a bold lip.
Q: What inspired this particular look?
A: This look was inspired by the cooler fall tones. My favorite lipstick ever is Rogue by Makeup Forever, so I use any excuse to wear it!
