Whether you’re single, taken or ‘it’s complicated,’ you should not be scrambling to find
something to do around Valentine’s Day in Phoenix. Tomorrow should be a day of romance and love, not stress and anxiety.
If you’re like me, you might be panicking about what to do for the most romantic day of the year with the person you love the most — but it doesn’t have to be hard to find plans.
If you want to do something classy, adventurous, delicious or just totally fun, you can do all of these, right here in the Valley of the Sun.

If you want to get bubbly with your hubby, enjoy this week of educational cocktail
making seminars, interactive tastings, cocktail competitions, pool parties and special
happy hours at the most poppin’ bars in Phoenix. The events go from February 17 to
February 19, and the locations are mainly in Downtown Phoenix.

Catch the hip-hop inspired Broadway musical about our founding father Alexander
Hamilton. The award-winning musical is at ASU Gammage in Tempe from January 30 to
February 25. Those of you that love hip-hop, or need to expand your knowledge on the
beginnings of our great states, this is a must-see.
3. Get High!

Take a helicopter or hot air balloon ride and feel like you’re on top of the world. A
sunset ride may just make you fall in love with the Phoenix sky’s stunning array of colors. These thrilling experiences are year-round, but they can be extra special during this time of year.
4. Catch a film

I saw this movie with my boyfriend, and I can tell you, it’s a definite must-see.
There were many points in the film where I felt like crying and many moments
where I felt so close to my love.
Warning: the songs get stuck in your head, but they’re so well-written and composed that those velvety chords put a sparkle on your whole day, so I’m not complaining.

…You get the picture.
5. Horseback riding at South Mountain

What is more romantic than riding a horse at sunset at one of the most beautiful
mountains in Phoenix? These gentle giants will take you back to the wild west or make
you feel like a princess or prince riding to your castle. This is definitely a bucket list activity, so what better time to do it than Valentine’s Day?
6. Have a picnic at your “special spot”

One of the most romantic and most inexpensive things to do on V-Day is have a picnic somewhere you love to go with your boo. Pack up your favorite goodies, a bottle
of wine and crack that basket open with the person you love most. Plus, you have the
freedom to get creative and make something truly amazing. Check out these yummy picnic recipes.
