Bomber Jackets: This Year’s Fall Staple

By: Gabrielle Hester

Fall is finally here! We can finally break out cozy sweaters, warm fuzzy socks and gorgeous boots. But the most common fall item making an appearance this year is the bomber jacket. Bomber jackets have been spotted on major celebs, in trendy fashion shows and a trademark for this year’s street style.

Bomber jackets are typically a short jacket, having a fitted or elastic waist and a zippered front. Bomber jackets come in many shapes and styles. Some of them keep it simple, with a silky fabric and dusty rose color. Some come off as edgy, with an army green color and trendsetting patches scattered all over. Embroidered floral bomber jackets are my absolute favorite! They typically are white, black or pink and have gorgeous floral embroidery on either the back or the sleeves of the jacket.

Stores such as Forever 21, H&M, Topshop, Urban Outfitters and American Eagle are following this trend and their jackets are beautiful! Here’s a few bomber jackets from different stores and in different styles and colors!

Forever 21

This chic black jacket keeps it simple while adding the motivational words “Love yourself” to the back.

I am in love with this floral army green bomber jacket. The white detail near the collar spices it up and completes this gorgeous piece.

American Eagle

American Eagle has outdone itself with this versatile jacket. If you’re feeling your look needs something simple, the black and white pin stripe will satisfy your needs. If you’re feeling edgy and girly, flip it to the floral side for a chic and whimsical look.

Urban Outfitters

This bomber jacket is perfect for an edgy and daring look. The embroidered tiger in the back is fierce and amps up this satin maroon and white jacket. The only thing not so perfect about this jacket is the price. It is a bit of a splurge, but totally worth it!
