FRIENDS fashions are coming back into Style

If you’re one of the millions of people addicted to Netflix you’ve probably noticed “Friends” is now available for streaming. I’ve spent countless hours watching the 90’s sitcom, and apart from laughing at the gang’s shenanigans, I also noticed the great style the characters have. Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), Monica Geller (Courtney Cox) and Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow) all have unique wardrobes that truly reflect the style of the time. What’s more, a lot of what they wore on set twenty years ago is coming back to stores today.

Basically everything in Rachel’s outfit is back in style today. The cropped sweater, plaid mini-skirt, and knee-socks have all become very popular once again. Forever 21 marketed a similar outfit on their website.

In the first few seasons Monica was the queen of high-waisted jeans. It seemed like every episode featured a pair. The trick is to balance on the fine line between “chic” and “mom jeans”. Check out this black denim pair from Nasty Gal.

Phoebe undoubtedly had the most unique outfits on the show. Probably to reflect her quirky, out-there personality. However, a lot of what she wore could be classified as “boho”. If Phoebe existed today she’d probably be a frequent Free People shopper (see the maxi dress below).
