Creative Apparel Concepts Launches Faux Real

A combination of sardonic, quirky and inimitable designs, Faux Real is a new brand of photorealistic t-shirts developed by Creative Apparel Concepts, a retailer whose designs cater to both savvy trends and atypical styles.

Creative Apparel Concepts, which has been designing men’s, women’s and children’s garments for more than 10 years, created Faux Real with the intention of reinventing casual wear in a way that uses humor and individuality as a main form of fashionable expression.

Faux Real T-shirts showcase a whimsical, tongue-in-cheek account of men’s and women’s designs. According to Jeff Gray, President of Faux Real, inspiration for the line stemmed from seeing professional snowboarder Shaun White don a pair snow pants that looked like ripped jeans.

“I couldn’t believe how real they looked,” he said. “I thought maybe I could bring this photorealism look to t-shirts using sublimation.”

Pushing the boundaries is common in the world of fashion, but for Faux Real, outlandish ingenuity is the lifeblood of the line. A team of designers work diligently to create exclusive designs that are a nod to consumers who want to stand out, Gray said.

“Our photorealistic shirts have raised the bar for what you can do with T-shirts,” he said. “I have yet to see a T-shirt mimic a sweater or suit jacket and look as real as ours.”
