London Fashion Week Day 5

London Fashion Week continued on Tuesday with runway shows that were all about volume and drama. Our three featured designers each put their own spin on the classic shapes of pencil skirts and blazers, playing around with both color and patterns.

Classic shapes and muted patterns were the theme of the Peter Jensen Fall/Winter 2012 runway collection. The added volume creates drama and makes the garment original and fresh, even with the vintage vibe.

Salmon pink and aqua dominated the runway at Holly Fulton. Statement patterns kept the looks fun and eye catching. Even though this collection is for winter, the runway made you feel like you were on a tropical vacation!

Drama was at the heart of the Emilio de la Morena looks. With long skirts and tops that wrapped around the head, this show kept you excited and intrigued. Maroon, royal blue and crème were paired with black for a color pallet as dramatic as the shape of the garments.
